A new garden plan was designed to complement this meticulously restored mid-century house, overlooking downtown Los Angeles.
Outdoor areas for entertainment, relaxation, and gardening were designed keyed to the vocabulary and style of the house. A twelve foot grade change over the site provided an opportunity to create garden spaces on several levels.
Materials include poured-in-place concrete pavers with a variety of inserts, Douglas Fir deck and built-in seating, and entertaining areas. Garden spaces were edged with bamboo and shade-loving succulents.
