ERW Design was one of four invited firms to present concepts and qualifications for the design of a new Visitor's Center at Charmlee Park, a five hundred acre wilderness park in the Santa Monica Mountains.
The key site and architectural strategy was to form a gateway to the park. Composed of a sequence of indoor and exterior elements, adding new elements to those already in place.
The intent was for the building to be an example of sustainability, and we looked forward to LEED certification. The design team included David Fletcher, award winning landscape architect, civil and land engineers, and Green Building Services. In a sixty-page proposal and power point presentation, we outlined our concepts, services, budget, and timeline.
