This early 20th century has a history of bootlegging and gambling, and a more recent history of neglect. With a subtle hand, and an intent that the restoration work was not to 'show', the construction and engineering work required shoring the entire house prior to actual construction.
Several significant additions were made. An office suite, gym, wine bar, and garage were created. An underground grotto leads to the front yard lap pool.
The upper level houses the main living spaces, with restoration of unique ceramic work, and unusual construction details. A screened-in breezeway links the Main House to the former Guest House, now containing the Kitchen and Pantry.
The exterior spaces were designed for privacy, entertaining, and exercise, all surrounded by lush, landscaped environments.
